Ritz Carlton Key Biscayne

Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne

With Christmas behind us, spring break planning is in full gear.  If you haven’t already made plans, now is the time to book your trip before availability becomes too difficult to find.  For clients who want a destination a little closer to home, one of my personal favorites is the Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne in Miami, Florida.

The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne is a quick 20 minute drive from Miami International Airport.  It has an ideal location – quiet and relaxing, yet minutes away from Miami, South Beach, Coconut Grove and Coral Gables.  Guests can escape here but easily venture off property to experience the fantastic shopping, dining and cultural diversity that defines the greater Miami area.

I chose to spend a recent spring break with my family at the Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne because it’s a wonderful place to be with children.  One of the top selling points for me was the zero entry family pool – perfect for young children.  Additionally, the property boasts an excellent Ritz Kids program, the largest tennis center in the entire Ritz portfolio (11 courts total), non-motorized water sports, and outdoor games such as pool, ping pong, and even a lawn for kicking around a soccer ball.

I booked an Oceanfront Suite – spacious and ideal for a family of four, with fantastic views of the ocean and grounds below.  Guests can expect the regular creature comforts they’ve grown to love when booking a Ritz Carlton hotel, all delivered with exceptional service and friendliness.

I opted for Club Level again for this trip because it’s always proven to be an excellent value and also because I wanted to experience the “Club on the Beach,” an amenity unique to the Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne because it’s an outdoor off-shoot of the regular lounge in the main hotel .  I could walk right over from the pool and grab a snack and non-alcoholic drinks throughout the day. The outdoor location is a great perk and very convenient for club guests who don’t want to leave the sun and go to the 9th floor lounge for refreshments.
