Another busy season of travel has come to a close, and what a summer it’s been for KG Travel clients! Where did everyone go? I think the better question is where did they NOT go, especially went it came to travel across Europe. This post reflects on some of the many adventures the team at KG Travel planned for clients this summer and looks ahead to 2024 travel planning, which is already well underway!
Popular Destinations
France, Italy, England, Greece, Scotland, Spain, Iceland, Ireland, Croatia and Portugal were among the more frequently requested destinations this summer. I also had the opportunity to plan a special heritage trip to Denmark for clients with roots there, and a special 50th anniversary trip for a family in Wyoming. Others vacationed or honeymooned throughout the Caribbean, Hawaii, Belize, Costa Rica, and Alaska.
Itinerary Design
I begin each new trip inquiry with a phone call to learn as much as I can about the type of trip the client has in mind. Having this in-depth discussion at the beginning of the process ensures we’re on the same page regarding wishlist experiences, budget, duration, level of accommodations, etc. From there, it’s time to choose an onsite partner with whom to collaborate and design a customized itinerary. No cookie-cutter experiences!
What is an Onsite Partner?
They are highly vetted, trusted companies around the world specializing in a particular region or country who work exclusively with travel advisors. Not only are these partners deeply rooted in their specific area of expertise, oftentimes residing there locally, they also share a common mission with KG Travel: to deliver an exceptional, one-of-a-kind travel experience for every client.
On the Horizon
Next up for me is a long-anticipated trip to Greece this fall with other Brownell top producers where I’ll explore Athens and the islands of Santorini and Corfu. I’m counting down! Then it’s on to one of my favorite US cities, New Orleans, for Brownell Academy. Brownell employees, travel advisors and many of our onsite partners, some of whom come from as far away as Asia and Africa, gather for a multi-day meeting full of learning, networking and celebrating professional achievements. It’s an inspiring event I look forward to every year.
2024 Trip Planning and Travel Update
When it comes to 2024 trip planning, things are already in full swing around my office. I’m currently working on quite a few spring and summer inquiries for various destinations around the globe. Because the travel industry is continuing to see unprecedented demand for travel post-pandemic, early planning has become more important than ever.
It’s a big and exciting world out there – let’s get planning!
