My latest summer travels took me to the charming Caribbean island of Nevis. The main purpose of my visit was to stay at the Four Seasons Nevis and learn more about their exciting renovations, which are already well underway. I’m a big fan of the property so had been closely monitoring news of their upcoming enhancements and couldn’t wait to get a sneak peek at what’s in store for my clients beginning this December.
The Four Seasons Nevis is one of those iconic Caribbean properties that can be found on many travelers’ bucket lists. It’s not hard to understand why! The idyllic setting on famous Pinney’s Beach with the backdrop of looming Nevis Peak in the background is truly otherworldly. This setting, paired with Four Seasons service and standards, make the experience of staying at this hotel very special.
Arrival is particularly memorable – most guests arrive via boat from St. Kitts (only a 10 minute ride) and are delivered directly to the hotel’s private dock. A team of staff members await the approaching boats to personally greet each and every guest as they arrive in paradise and away from the worries of everyday life.
My husband and I were taken straight to my room by our personal greeter – no check-in line at the lobby, thank you very much! Within minutes, we were barefoot in the sand, roaming the beautiful grounds and plotting where we’d dine that evening and lounge in the sun the next morning.
The Four Seasons Nevis boasts three spacious pools – one is adults only and the other two welcome families, which means both families and couples have plenty of room to spread out and enjoy themselves. When not by the pool, many guests can be found hanging out on Pinney’s Beach. The calm, clear water makes for a perfect spot to take advantage of all of the different watersport activities available to guests.
Golfers flock to the Four Seasons Nevis – the Robert Trent Jones II golf course is gorgeous and one of the best courses in all of the Caribbean. Dotting the hillside along the golf course are numerous luxury villas (over 50 on property available for rent) that are ideal for larger families or groups. I toured quite a few of them – they are all so different and of course beautiful! When I get an inquiry from clients for a villa here, I work with the sales team to determine the best fit for them based on their personal preferences.
The fantastic restaurant options on property, stellar spa, and always popular Kids for All Seasons program (complimentary to guests) are among just a few of the other draws to this property. But above all else, I found the friendly and attentive service to stand out – best of the best. The staff is tenured, polished and exudes a warmth that’s palpable. They are the hotel’s greatest gift for sure.
Room renovations are well underway, and I was able to get a sneak peek at the new room product while I was there. It’s a complete transformation and will surely take this legendary hotel to an even higher level. In addition to the room overhaul, the lobby and port cochere will be remodeled, and the hotel will unveil new restaurant and bar concepts which blend traditional Nevisian style with a modern twist. All of these enhancements are scheduled to be completed in time for the upcoming holiday season.
My firm is part of the Four Seasons Preferred Partner network, so I’m able to add the following complimentary amenities to my clients’ reservations:
- Daily full American breakfast for two people per bedroom (resort and villa accommodations), served through In-Room Dining or in the hotel restaurant (including buffets)
- Choice of USD100 Spa credit (not applicable to products) or USD100 golf credit
- Upgrade of one category, based on availability at time of check-in (excluding signature suites, villas, and private residences)
