Sugar Beach, A Viceroy Resort – St. Lucia

As I sit under a warm blanket here in Virginia in the midst of a blizzard, my mind wanders back to my wonderful (and warm!!!) week in St. Lucia just a few short months ago. While I was there, I spent some time at famous Sugar Beach, one of my top sellers and one of the Caribbean’s most luxurious and picturesque properties.

The New York EDITION, New York City

I’ve just returned from a wonderful post-Christmas trip to New York City with my family.  When I started making plans to visit the Big Apple, I didn’t have to think long about where I wanted to stay.  I’ve been intrigued by Ritz Carlton’s boutique EDITION hotels for awhile now, especially the newest one to come onto the scene, The New York EDITION.  The hotel opened last May and has received a warm welcome in a highly competitive city due to its top notch rooms, service and overall cool, yet unpretentious vibe.

Cap Maison, St. Lucia

I just returned from a weeklong stay on the exotic Caribbean island of St. Lucia. Cap Maison, a boutique, Mediterranean-styled property located on the north end of the island, was home for the first few days of my trip. This intimate Virtuoso hide-away is ideal for honeymooners or couples wanting a quiet and romantic setting.

Keswick Hall, Charlottesville, VA

As the last of the warm summer days were upon us in Virginia, I snuck away with my husband for an overnight stay at Virtuoso’s newest hotel, Keswick Hall. I wanted to see the extensive room renovations they recently completed after coming under new ownership and learn more about this new Virtuoso property right in my own backyard.

Rosewood Little Dix Bay, Virgin Gorda

I just spent a magical week with my family at Rosewood Little Dix Bay on the island of Virgin Gorda in the British Virgin Islands.  It’s one of the Caribbean’s most respected and loved properties with one of the most spectacular settings I’ve seen anywhere in the world.  Laurence Rockefeller created this little slice of heaven 50 years ago, and the owners and management team continue to carry on his vision for the hotel – one of quiet elegance and harmony with nature.

The Ritz Carlton San Juan, Puerto Rico

I just stayed at the Ritz Carlton San Juan, the first part of my family’s two-island summer trip to Puerto Rico and Virgin Gorda. Located literally 5 minutes from the airport, the Ritz Carlton San Juan is an ideal choice for travelers seeking a quick get-away or planning to visit another part of the Caribbean. San Juan is the hub of the Caribbean, so virtually every island is easily accessible from its runways.

Disney World and Universal Done Right…With a Private Guide

I visited Orlando last week for my family’s first trip to the Disney World and Universal Studios theme parks. Our trip was the perfect opportunity for me to check out the new Four Seasons Orlando for my clients (see my blog post about the Four Seasons Orlando here:)  https://kgouldtravel.com/blog/four-seasons-orlando/  and also enjoy the parks with my children.

Four Seasons Orlando

I just returned from a much anticipated visit to the new Four Seasons Orlando. Taking my family to Disney (and Universal for that matter) had been on my bucket list for a number of years, and it was well worth the wait for the Four Seasons Orlando to open. It is absolutely true – you can now visit Disney and have a luxury experience at the same time!

Dreams Las Mareas, Costa Rica

I’ve just returned from a 10 day journey focused on the Guanacaste region of Costa Rica. Nestled between tropical dry forest and too many unspoiled beaches to count, there are a number of small towns and hotels I wanted to explore and better understand for my clients. I partnered with my “go to” supplier for Central America, Rico Tours, to create a customized itinerary for my family.
