Penthouse view at Kimpton Seafire

Kimpton Seafire, Grand Cayman

I recently visited Kimpton Seafire on the Caribbean island of Grand Cayman, Kimpton Hotels’ first resort property to open in the world. I’ve sent quite a few happy clients since they opened their doors in November so was anxious to check it out myself and get a better understanding of the Kimpton brand as a whole.

Spain: Mallorca and Barcelona

My latest travels took me to the exciting country of Spain.  Each year,  Brownell plans a special trip full of adventure and fun for top sales producers – Mallorca and Barcelona were on this year’s agenda. Traveling with my colleagues to learn about different destinations around the world is an invaluable opportunity and enriches my knowledge to help me better advise my clients.

Chileno Bay's infinity pool

Chileno Bay, Cabo San Lucas

My family traveled to Cabo San Lucas for spring break this year. I chose Cabo so we could see whales, ride camels (yes, you can ride camels in Cabo!), and sail around the famous Arch of Cabo San Lucas, but also to stay at recently opened Chileno Bay, the newest hotel in Auberge Resorts’ collection. For those of you familiar with Auberge hotels (think Auberge du Soleil, Calistoga Ranch and Esperanza to name a few), any property that falls under their umbrella is guaranteed to be extraordinary, and Chileno Bay proved to be no exception. The service, setting, design, and cuisine are outstanding.

Hawksnest Beach is one of Caneel Bay's beaches

Caneel Bay, St. John

I recently returned from a magical stay at one of the Caribbean’s most beloved and iconic hotels – Caneel Bay on the island of St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands. This was my third visit to the property and a particularly special trip for me both personally and professionally, as I’d been invited to attend their 60th Anniversary Gala as a representative of the luxury travel industry. I was honored and excited to attend.

Ready for lunch at Sweet Bocas

Panama

I just returned from a trip to the fascinating country of Panama – a Central American destination that’s been on my travel bucket list for a very long time. Panama is an emerging hot spot full of diverse culture, unparalleled adventure, and fantastic wildlife – all still relatively untouched and unspoiled. And did I mention

Ritz Carlton Sarasota Beach Club

The Ritz Carlton Sarasota

I recently attended Brownell’s company meeting at the newly renovated Ritz Carlton Sarasota in southern Florida. I’d never visited this part of the Florida Gulf Coast before, so I arrived a day early to make sure I’d have enough time to experience the hotel as a leisure traveler before my meeting began. I’m so glad that I did!

Malliouhana, Anguillla

Malliouhana, an Auberge Resort, Anguilla

I just returned home from a blissful week on the magical island Anguilla, one of my favorite destinations in the Caribbean.  The main purpose of my visit was to stay at Malliouhana and experience it first-hand, as I’ve been regularly sending happy clients since it reopened in 2014 and wanted to see for myself just how special this iconic property really is.

Venice scenes

Hotel L’Orologio – Venice, Italy

Trying to pick a hotel in Venice is not an easy task, as there are so many incredible choices! I relied on the advice of a trusted hotel supplier and decided to try a brand new hotel on the scene – Hotel L’Orologio.  Its funky contemporary vibe wasn’t the type of property I was initially envisioning for my stay in Venice. As it turned out, this property couldn’t have been more perfect for my family.  I loved it the minute I walked through the door.
